Weaverthorpe Village Hall, Tuesday 12 July
I think this photo of Norma and Trish says it all!
Representatives from 11 different village halls in Ryedale met to discuss the topics and issues and ask questions which affect them and we had lively and wide ranging discussions and questions. Ideas for new activities in the halls such as Afternoon Tea and Scrabble, Curry Nights or Crafternoon Teas were talked about and there was much swopping of ideas and experiences.
Ideas on how to set up an asset register were discussed and why it is a good idea.
Other topics discussed included broadband in village halls, Charitable Incorporated Organisations and Trustee Liability, mobile phone coverage in rural villages, food hygiene and food safety in village halls to mention just a few.
The village hall committee made us thoroughly welcome and provided the most amazing refreshments – many thanks.
